Combat Calisthenics

Combat Calisthenics consist of a series of bodyweight exercises that comform to the push/pull methods of strength training. The student learns to use his own bodyweight while placing his/her body in unstable positions, thus recruiting the use of muscles not normally used during conventional calisthenic routines. The idea is to mimic as many of the possible positions the body may be placed in during ground combat.

Besides calisthenics, all students are trained in the proper use of kettlebells. These are also taught with combat applications in mind. Joint mobility exercises are also included as well as breath work such as Qi gong..
